A standard version of BDBG-09 is produced with a built-in Geiger-Muller counter. A modification based on the scintillation detector is also available. A special version of BDBG-09 radiation detectors with waterproof housing has been developed for use in waterbodies and artificial reservoirs.

It is built on the basis of highly sensitive scintillation detector and has a high vibration and impact resistance.

BDPA-07 detecting unit of alpha radiation and BDPN-07 detecting unit of neutron radiation are used as a part of the MKS-07 POSHUK search dosimeter and within automated systems for detecting radiation. POSHUK dosimeter is intended for search of radioactive sources and control illicit transfer of radioactive materials.
