A brief look into our company’s history.
Following the Chernobyl disaster, our company received an order from the Ministry for Chernobyl Affairs (the government body responsible for managing the consequences of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident) to develop a new type of dosimeter-radiometer as part of the national recovery program.
We successfully completed this task by developing and certifying the DKS-01 SELVIS dosimeter-radiometer in 1991.
During the 1990s, approximately one thousand of these instruments were manufactured under the Ministry’s order and deployed both within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and across numerous organizations and government agencies involved in monitoring radioactive contamination and its consequences.
Today, one of these instruments — DKS-01 SELVIS Gamma-Beta Radiation Dosimeter-Radiometer (Exhibit No. 1199804) — is part of the collection of the National Chernobyl Museum, preserving the history of Ukrainian engineering contributions to radiation monitoring and post-accident recovery efforts.
