A part of our company’s history:
Our company received an order from the Ministry of Ukraine of Emergencies and Affairs of Population Protection from the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe (the Ministry responsible for managing the consequences of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident) to develop a new type of dosimeter-radiometer as part of the Chornobyl accident consequence mitigation program.
We successfully completed this task by developing and certifying the DKS-01 SELVIS dosimeter-radiometer in 1991.
During the 1990s, approximately one thousand of these divices were manufactured under the Ministry’s order and commisioned for operation both in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and in numerous institutions and agencies involved in monitoring the consequences of territorial radioactive contamination.
Today, one of these instruments — DKS-01 SELVIS Gamma-Beta Radiation Dosimeter-Radiometer (Exhibit No. 1199804) — is an exibit of the collection of the Ukrainian National Chernobyl Museum, preserving the legacy of Ukrainian engineering achivements in radiation monitoring and post-accident recovery.
