MKS-UM
MKS-UM is a full-range radiation survey device in the field environment, which measures alpha, beta, gamma and X-ray radiation. The gamma radiation dose rate is measured from the background to emergency levels. High protection rating and a hard shell allow using the device in harsh climatic and dusty conditions.
Radiation detection devices are designed for operation under the conditions of nuclear war or serious radiation accidents as well as for environmental research in regular situations:
– MKS-U: a full-range multipurpose device for radiation surveillance in the field environment, which operated perfectly under severe desert conditions during peacekeeping mission in the Middle East;
– MKS-UM: a device to measure radiation designed on the basis of MKS-U dosimeter-radiometer. In addition to gamma and beta radiation the device may additionally measure alpha radiation. It was enhanced with an option to archive the results of measurement with reference to the location coordinates with integrated dual-system GPS/GLONASS receiver. MKS-UM has undergone many other changes making it even more comfortable to work with.
